Formula Assistant


We all know you’re here for the formulas. They’re the rockstars of the spreadsheet world, performing deep computations that are greater than the sum of its parts (except when doing sums of course).

Using the Formula Assistant

1. To open theFormula Assistant, enter the 

=

 in any cell of your workbook

2. The Formula Assistant will open automatically, sorted alphabetically

3. Begin typing in the formula you’d like to use, or scroll the list to search the 400+ formulas native to SheetRocks

You can also use the arrow keys on your keyboard to navigate the Formula Assistant

4. As you hover over each formula you’ll see a brief description of what it does

5. Selecting a formula will place it in the cell and show a description of each element of the formula in order

The Tab key on your keyboard can be used to select a formula too (no mouse needed).

When viewing a formula in the Formula Assistant you can select the Learn more button in the bottom right to view the extended formula documentation. The documentation offers examples and further description for each formula.

Closed the Formula Assistant by accident?
Just click the pink question mark beside the cell to open it again.
