Freezing Columns & Rows

Freezing columns and rows keeps headers and key data visible as you scroll through your workbook. It’s a simple way to enhance navigation in large sheets.

Using Freeze

1. In your workbook, select a cell in the row and/or column you want to Freeze

2. Hover over Edit Menu and scroll to the Freeze menu

3. Select the Freeze up to column... or Freeze up to row... to create your freeze setting

4. To remove, navigate to the Freeze menu and select Unfreeze all columns or Unfreeze all rows

A sheet can only be frozen at one column & row combination at a time. Any new freeze selection you apply to your sheet will automatically override the previous freeze selection.
